Mod Camera Straps

I am going to start this off in an odd way.  I hate camera straps.  There.  It’s finally out.  Kim hates camera straps.  But let’s face it, they have become a necessary evil.  Do you want to carry your camera in your hand the entire time?  No.  So you have to use a strap.

Ugh.

With the popularity of DSLR cameras and their new affordability, the market has become ripe for new accessories.  Out with the old black standard issue camera straps.  In with the new straps that let you reflect your personality.

Mod sent me a camera strap to try and review.  They sent me the Pink and Green Zebra camera strap.  It is bold, bright, fun, and colorful.  It is the kind of strap I don’t mind using.

Don’t worry if it isn’t your style they have many, many more options.  They also have point and shoot camera straps!!

mod stitching

Their quality is top notch.  The stitching is good and the details are well covered.  The straps are very secure and provide great functionality while the neat colors are pleasing to the eye.  We all know photographers are visual people, right?

Plush strap

The straps are not too wide and bulky.  I know the recent trend to go really wide has a purpose for extra comfort, but some of the straps can get really bulky.  Mod straps do a great job of providing comfort (with extra padding in the strap) while staying a average width.  The back of the strap is a plush fabric that caresses your skin and glides across your clothes.  It feels so nice.

Sorry I don’t have any shots with it on me.  It is hard to take a picture of yourself with a camera and camera strap on.  I need my camera for that.  ;)

Go to mod straps and see their cool selection of straps.  While you are their you have to check out their other accessories.  Like:

Disclosure: I did receive a strap at no cost in order to give an accurate review of their product.  This did not alter my opinion or recommendation of their products.  Mod Camera Straps is also sponsoring this month’s SHOOT.EDIT.SUBMIT. winner.  This has no effect on my review, either.  You guys now I am honest and would never compromise my integrity or your trust.  :)

  3. My Nikon strap was so awful. I can't believe you spend hundreds of dollars on a camera and they outfit it with a strap that slips off so easily, even with regular tightening. I dropped my camera 3 times and bought a new strap.

These look really nice, and I LOVE that strap wrap idea. Genius!
