This week’s prompt for P52 is “self portrait”. Can you say freak out? I don’t know about you, but I constantly wonder about what others think of me. I wonder how they see me. I wonder how they see me as a wife, mother, friend, photographer, etc. I don’t like the way I see myself most of the time.
So for this prompt I thought I would remind myself of how He sees me. Through all of my sins and faults this is what He still sees. I need to remember that.
Do you see yourself this way? I usually don’t. I challenge you to join me. See yourself today as God sees you.

powerful. <3

BEAUTIFUL interpretation of self-portrait. You nailed it on the head. I have been struggling with TRUTH lately. What is the truth? How does God see me? How do people see me? I hope this liberated you in doing this challenge! Glad to meet someone else that is His. :) Liesl
ReplyDeleteAwesome! And that's all that matters- how HE sees us.
ReplyDeleteInterestig how your photo evolved from feeling uncomfortable...yet it gives off a quiet strength to me. Beautiful. Visiting from Project 52.

ReplyDeleteInteresting photo. Remember He sees you through Jesus.
ReplyDeleteha ha ha ha, so I didn't see the white tank top at first, and was thinking "And your husband wasn't uncomfortable with this?" It's a cool photo though, so did you actually write on your arms or is that added through the computer?
ReplyDeleteWow. This is such a powerful message and photo. You are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is great!
ReplyDeleteReally thought provoking. Well done. Beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a powerful photo. Great job. I love the black and white, too. It is hard to see ourselves as God sees us. Redeemed, forgiven, and loved.
ReplyDeleteYou just amaze me all the time, great job!
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, just the way God sees me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great expression of who you are through his eyes. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love this! Very powerful...
ReplyDeleteLove your shot, very creative and what a great expression of God's love!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Beautiful woman, beautiful concept... or rather beautiful TRUTH! I don't know if you remember me mentioning that you remind me of my sister, Chelsey, but you do even more now (that is a compliment!) :)
ReplyDeleteI sadly don't see myself this way a lot of the time. I feel forgotten a lot. Thanks for this reminder that no matter what, I am truly loved by the Lord and blessed far more than I deserve.
ReplyDeletereally beautiful portrait!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw this I thought it was an image showing how your husband viewed you. Quite a strong self-portrait, the focus being on your identity not your appearance of clothing.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this photo! Loved the message and the delivery!
