Ninjabread Men

Yes, that title is correct. My awesome friend Karina from Mumma Made It did a blog post a while back and shared ninjabread cookie cutters.  I was in love.  So I found some on Amazon (here is a non-affiliated link to the ninjabread cookie cutters) and got them in the mail yesterday. 

If you follow me on twitter you saw me tweet about them and share pictures.  Yes, I am a dork.  And to even further solidify my dork status, I am doing a blog post about them, too.

These are the ninjabread cookie cutters.  Don’t they just kick butt?

So I made some sugar cookie dough, rolled it out, and cut out the ninjas.  Now here is the part where many make Martha Stewart royal icing, but I bought this at Hobby Lobby…

Yes, I am a cheater.  It tastes good, it is already dyed, and you squeeze from the bottle (no messy transfer).  Feel free to make your icing however you choose.

I did leave some unfrosted.

My kids will use edible food markers to color and draw on their own ninjas, too.

These are going to be a huge hit at my house.  I have a feeling we will have ninja cookies very regularly. All of these pictures were taken with my phone, so they aren’t great, but this isn’t a photography post.  :P
