I have recently realized that I might be able to make some money with photography if I can find someone interested in pictures of bugs. Yep, bugs. Any takers? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
My fondness for capturing images of insects has not gone unnoticed by my children, either. We were sitting in the living room having a snack when Cole looked out the window and saw a caterpillar dangling from its silk on the porch. He yelled, “Mommy, a caterpillar! Quick, quick, get your camera so you can take a picture of that awesome bug God created!” I promise he said those words. That kid cracks me up and makes me proud.
So here is one of God’s awesome creations.
And since the kids and I went on a hunt in the yard and found more, I am sharing those as well.

So any takers on buying some bug art. You never know, it could be the next “thing”. ![]()

They are beautiful. As always, God's handiwork is breathtaking and your photos are stunning!
ReplyDeleteOkay - so we're actually entomologists in development over here. How much? My oldest would LOVE some prints. and if they're small enough I might actually be able to afford them. I'm serious. These are amazing photos and would make fantastic holiday gifts.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bugs! It's great to have your son as a spotter too.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! That last one is a bug I've never seen before. I wonder if you've just discovered a new bug!! :) I know there would be plenty of people who would buy bug photos. And in all seriousness, you could probably take photos for your local zoo or something like that. Wouldn't that be cool?
ReplyDeleteAwesome kid. Awesome photos! I could actually see myself decorating the boys bathroom with bug photos. Especially if they look that good!
ReplyDeleteAmazing insects and such beautiful photography!
ReplyDeleteUmmm...I'm interested!

ReplyDeleteOh, I for one love taking photographs of anything bug or nature related!! I love all of them, but that last one is really great!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I especially like the last one. I'm sure there are some nature magazines that would like these!
ReplyDeleteIncredible! My James was a bug enthusiast when he was a boy too! I didn't own a camera at the time, but we did the hunt! :)
ReplyDeleteI am particularly in love with the first pic; the texture and the clarity and the all around "boy" feel gives me a sense of summer joy!
I have the camera now and feel I could make money too if people wanted pet or flower portraits ... there's gotta be a market, right! :)
You photography is outstanding and your mother's joyful heart a pleasure.
Thank you.
Blessings
Andrea
These are really great. I like the composition and details you captured in these. It shows even though most people hate bugs, including me, they really are cool looking and different.
