This battle was part of the French and Indian War.
There were people dressed up at camp. Do you see the teepee in the background?
The camp was a great representation of that time.
There were men off to battle.
We pretty much relaxed and watched the battle and covered our ears as the canons boomed.
The kids did have fun with some seasonal decorations, though.

ReplyDeleteI live next door to Big Trees Roaring Camp and every memorial day weekend they do a big civil war reenactment(s) all weekend long. The first time I heard the cannons I thought that we were being attacked! It is really neat, though!
