Here is another repost of one of my favorites. These are my son’s favorite jeans (they are his only ones with trucks on them). These patches made them last a long time. We finally retired them this past weekend after being outgrown.
My son wears out the knees on his jeans (mostly from playing trucks on his knees). We have been getting holes on the knees, but the rest of the jeans are fine. While I know that holes in jeans are fashionable, on my son I think they just look like he has worn out his clothes and I just don’t care. Yes, that is my obsessive side rearing its ugly head. No, I don’t have a problem with other people’s kids having holes in their pants, just mine.

very cute but have you seen the jeans at the stores that are bought with holes in the knees that is why if i thrift shop and find holes in knees and the rest great I either patch or leave them like that
ReplyDeleteNot a kid thing, but when myhusband doesn't match his belt with his shoes on Sunday morning it drives me absolutely nuts!
ReplyDeleteTotally cute construction iron-ons! My 3 year old can name almost every piece of construction equipment there is. Bulldozer, front end loader, crane, digger, ect. He even can say, "Excavator"!
ReplyDeleteI do that too!! But, I have a hard time finding the patches you can actually put in the washer. Some of the ones I buy say you can only hand wash. Like I have time for that;) My kids are crazy about animals so I usually buy those kinds of patches.
ReplyDeleteI've even done this to MY jeans before. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm visiting from MBC. Great blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Kim, Cole wears threw jeans so fast. My girlfriend does this to her jeans. Great tips as always :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a super cute idea! I would want to put the patches on even before the jeans wore out :-) Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI've done things like that before, and then after they've totally outgrown them I make it into a purse.
