Coupon Chief site review & Giveaway

Everyone has shopping on the brain.  It is that time of year.  As busy moms yourselves, I don’t really think I need to on and on about the benefits of online shopping.  Store hopping with two young children is not my idea of holiday fun.  All of that trouble just to save a few bucks, when I could probably save even more from the comfort of my couch in pj’s?  Yeah, I will stick with pj’s.

I think we all know how I love a good deal.  I use paper coupons in the stores and try to use online coupon codes when cyber shopping.  I have tried many sites that claim to have all of the codes right at your fingertips.  I usually waste a ton of time sifting through random codes.  Coupon Chief asked me to review their site.  I really thought it would be like the others.  Coupon Chief has coupon codes for everyone.  They have them sorted by store, by tags (such as toys, Christmas, and bedding just to name a few), and by newly listed.  The newly listed feature is a great one, because you can get in on the action before the company pulls the coupon code for being “too popular”.  I think we have all seen that happen before, unfortunately.

You get extra money in your pocket from using the codes on Coupon Chief.  Now the really neat part.  You can get extra money in your pocket by sharing the coupon codes from Coupon Chief.  This is straight from their site.
“Never thought sharing could make you money? Well think again, because it does now. Thanks to Coupon Chief, you can make money just by uploading coupons and sharing the savings.”
  • Sign-up to be a part of Coupon Chief's Pays-2-Share Program
  • Upload coupons
  • Track your progress on your "my account" page. Every time someone uses a coupon you've uploaded, Coupon Chief will give you 2% of the sales
  • Now, just sit back and relax... and decide how you want to get paid. Check? PayPal? It's up to you.
The Pays-2-Share Program is not required to use Coupon Chief.  It is completely optional if you decide to do it.  It looks like a great opportunity to earn a little extra here and there just for sharing with your friends.

Putting that program aside, I really think this site is very user friendly and easy to navigate.  The coupon codes I searched for were easy to find, and it was easy to see the relevancy of them for what I needed.  I will be using Coupon Chief for my online coupon code searches.  Believe me, I WILL be doing most of my shopping online.

Now for the giveaway part!  Coupon Chief knows you love to shop online.  Do some online shopping, use some codes from Coupon Chief and pay using $20 from PayPal.  Coupon Chief will be sending me $20 via PayPal and I will be sending the same $20 via PayPal to the winner of this giveaway.  To enter just complete the form below.  You will need an active PayPal account to redeem this prize.  PayPal accounts are free to sign up for.  You can sign up here.

This giveaway has ended.  The winner #3 Jessica A. was selected by random.org.  Talk about random - #3.  Thank you to everyone for entering and be sure to check out other giveaways.

Disclosure: As stated above, Coupon Chief has provided me with $20 and that will be given through this giveaway to an entrant of the giveaway.  I was not compensated for advertising or space.  This is my honest opinion about the site and my recommendation is based solely on my review of the site and has nothing to do with their sponsorship of the giveaway.  You guys should know that about me by now. :-)

  2. since this is cash, it has to be claimed on the winner's taxes, right?

  3. I am going to assume that the winner would legally do what is required as with any prize winning. The fact that it is a PayPal credit that can be redeemed for cash means nothing. Any prize that has a monetary value can be applicable for taxes. I suggest that any winner of any prizes look into the legal aspects of it. Thanks for the reminder.
