Children’s Books Review/Giveaway

I love reading to my children!  My son loved reading as a baby, tapered off a bit as on older toddler, but has a new love for books again.  My daughter loves to read books, especially to herself (mostly because she thinks she can do everything by herself).  I was so excited when Pretty Please Press asked me to review some of their books and offered a giveaway.  You know how I love a giveaway!  I reviewed 4 books: Bella Basset Ballerina, PYNX, The Scritchy Little Twitchell Sisters, and Kick Block Punch.

When we received the books, my kids were ecstatic.  My son immediately started flipping through the pages.  The first book we read, by request, was Bella Basset Ballerina.  My kids love dogs.  It was a great story about overcoming stereotypes and beating the odds through perseverance, dedication, and hard work.  Plus it has dancing dogs.  It was a big hit with the little man.  The Scritchy Little Twitchell Sisters is a great tale of sibling rivalry turned family love.  I have started referencing this book when little fights erupt in the house.  All of the books we read were very good.  Along with the neat storylines and illustrations, the books are very nice quality.  The books have excellent quality paper and feel like they will hold up well through reading after reading.  The colors are bright and vibrant and keep the kids attention.
