I had a strong desire to connect with other moms in my area after my first son was born. But how in the world was I going to meet them? I saw a meeting announcement for Mothers & More in our neighborhood newsletter and I went to my first meeting. Four years later I'm still going to Mothers & More meetings because I love that this organization is helping moms across the country in all stages of their motherhood and professional journeys. Truthfully I would be a little lost without Mothers & More because I rely on those monthly meetings to get out of the house by myself, connect with other moms, and recharge.I started out as a stay-at-home mom, planning on returning to the workforce after my kids started elementary school. Thanks to the encouragement and technical expertise of a friend I met through Mothers & More, I started my blog Freebies 4 Mom in October of 2007. And now I'm a work-at-home mom who plans on being my own boss for as long as possible. My blog might have never been started without the encouragement of my fellow Mothers & More members. So I owe a lot to my local group and the national non-profit organization of Mothers & More. They gave me the support I needed to transition from stay-at-home mom to self-employed blogger.
I encourage you to visit Mothers & More to find a local chapter near you, or maybe even start your own!
