There are a few tips I would like to give you, that I learned by trial and error. Some might seem like no brainers, but sometimes I have no brain. The heat of the dryer softens the bar (which feels like a crayon at room temperature), so you might want to remove the bar from the holder if you are going to put shoes in it. The shoes will knock the bar loose and then the shoes will knock off chunks of the very soft bar. You might also want to remove the bar if you are going to dry overalls. The metal fasteners of the overalls will knock off chunks of the bar. You do not need to worry about buttons on jeans or smaller things like that. I have done plenty of jeans with no problem. Like I said, I LOVE this and I will continue to buy it. Try it.

I agree! I haven't been counting loads, but I am over a month now and it's still going. I love the smell of it!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this product for myself. Thanks for the review and tips!
ReplyDeleteI have this bar in my dryer too, but I do have one complaint about it. I'd been using it for a week or two when I noticed that my loads were coming out with a lot of static cling. I hate static cling more than I hate wrinkles in my clothing, so this was totally unacceptable to me. I've been throwing a dryer sheet in each load ever since. Has anyone else had this problem?
ReplyDeleteI have the static cling issue when I'm drying things like fleece or baby blankets, so I throw in a dryer sheet at those times - but outside of that I've been happy with it.
ReplyDeleteI have one of these and I have been nervous to try it. Once the holder is in your dryer can you easily remove it if you don't like it? Not the bar itself but the plastic holder?
ReplyDeleteIt should be easy to remove, I have not done it yet. I will try it hold on...okay I tried it. Really, I just took mine off to test it for you. I had to pry it off pretty hard. The adhesive panel came off of the dryer, except for a small piece. The adhesive panel did leave a rectangle mark on my dryer drum, but I never look in there. The sticky part that did stay behind, I had to use an exacto knife and nail polish remover to get it all off. So now you know. Hopefully that helps. I love it and plan on keeping mine in there, but some people have had mixed reviews while one or two people don't like it at all. Guess that is why we share ideas. :-) Thanks for the question Midwest Mommy.
ReplyDeleteOk, thank you so much. I hope you didn't ruin yours doing it. At least I know now if I do give it a try with a little work I can get it off, lol
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I can't get your follow thing to work. I am going to add you to my google reader and then try again later :-)
